Enclave AI’s local models cost nothing. Its $9.99 Pro upgrade is paid out as cloud credits for hosted models, and there are optional tips. If you only want free local chat, that is a strong offer.
Priobs is free to download with a free trial, then a Priobs Pro subscription. Pro covers every model, Apple Intelligence included, plus Siri, automations and model downloads.
On-device AI and the cloud
Both apps run local models on the device with no account. Enclave AI can also send a chat to a hosted cloud model when you choose one. Priobs has no cloud model at all. Every answer, including Apple Intelligence, is generated on your iPhone.
Priobs does have optional connected features: web search, Telegram delivery and MCP servers such as Notion or Linear. All of them are off by default and ask before anything leaves your phone.
Model library and attachments
Enclave AI covers the big open families: Llama, Qwen, Gemma, Phi, Mistral and DeepSeek. It also handles PDF, image and code attachments and can search the web, so on those points the two apps are close.
Priobs offers ten curated models plus Apple Intelligence, and it reads Word, Excel and PowerPoint files as well as PDFs and photos. The app hides models your iPhone cannot run and recommends one for your device.
Tools, automations and Siri
This is where Priobs pulls ahead. The model can read your calendar, add reminders, check Health data like steps and sleep, and more, with each tool off until you turn it on. You can schedule prompts and get answers as notifications. We did not find tools or automations on Enclave AI’s listing. Both apps work with Siri and Shortcuts.
Apple Intelligence
Priobs includes Apple’s on-device Foundation Model with no download and nothing extra to buy on top of Priobs Pro. Enclave AI does not support it.
