Troubleshooting

A model won’t download

• Check your free storage. Go to Settings › General › iPhone Storage. Models range from 288 MB (Qwen 2.5 0.5B) to 3.6 GB (Gemma 4 E2B).
• Stay on Wi-Fi. Large downloads are much quicker and more reliable on Wi-Fi.
• Check your subscription. Model downloads need Priobs Pro (or an active free trial).
• Check the model’s memory needs. Priobs hides models your iPhone doesn’t have the memory for and marks ones close to the limit as “may be unstable”. Here is every model:

The app quits while answering

That usually means the model is too big for the memory iOS gives the app. Models marked “may be unstable” are the usual suspects. Switch to the model Priobs recommends for your iPhone, or one a size smaller, and close other heavy apps.

Apple Intelligence isn’t available

• Go to Settings › Apple Intelligence & Siri and make sure it’s on.
• Check your iPhone supports it: iPhone 15 Pro or newer. A regular iPhone 15 and older models can’t use it, even on iOS 26.
• If it’s on and supported but doesn’t show up in the Priobs model library, give it a moment (iOS may still be preparing the model), then restart the app. The Apple Intelligence model guide has the full requirements.

Answers feel slow

• Try a smaller model. Qwen 2.5 0.5B and LFM2 1.2B are the fastest. Qwen 3 4B and Gemma 4 E2B trade speed for stronger answers.
• Qwen 3 models think before they answer. The reasoning section takes time, especially on Qwen 3 4B Thinking.
• Close other apps to free up memory, and restart your iPhone if things slow down over a long session.

An attachment doesn’t work

• Priobs reads photos, PDFs, Word, Excel and PowerPoint files. Other formats only pass the file name and size to the model. Export them as PDF or text and attach again.
• Photos are read with on-device text recognition. The model works with the text in the image, not the picture itself, so a photo without text gives it little to go on.
• Very large files have a size limit, and a long document can be more than a small model holds at once. Ask about one section at a time, or use a bigger model.

A tool doesn’t do anything

• Each tool is a separate switch in Priobs under Tools, and they are all off until you turn them on.
• Calendar, reminders, contacts, Health and location also need iOS permission. If you said no earlier, turn it on under Settings › Privacy & Security for Priobs. To let a model read your calendar, grant full calendar access, not add-only.
• Not every model can use tools. Check for the “Tools” label in the model library, or switch to one like Qwen 3 4B or Apple Intelligence.

An automation didn’t notify me

• Automations deliver answers as notifications. Make sure notifications are on for Priobs under Settings › Notifications. The result still appears in the chat thread either way.
• Automations need an active Priobs Pro subscription.
• Check the run history of the automation to see whether it ran.

Web search doesn’t work

• Web search is off by default and needs your own Brave Search API key. Add it in Priobs under Tools › Web Search, then switch the tool on.
• It needs an internet connection, and Priobs asks you to approve each search. Only the search query goes to Brave, never your chat.
